The Power of Emotional Intelligence: How to Control Your Anger According to GOD’s Word

This proverb means that people who are foolish tend to express their anger in a loud and uncontrolled way, while wise people hold back and control their anger.

It’s important to be careful with our words and actions, especially when we’re feeling angry or upset. Sometimes it’s better to take a step back, think about the situation, and then respond calmly and thoughtfully.

For example, imagine that someone at work says something that really upsets you.

A foolish response might be to start yelling and cursing at them in front of everyone, — but a wise response would be to take a deep breath, step away from the situation, and then come back to talk to the person privately and calmly about how you feel.

Another example could be when you’re driving and someone cuts you off on the road. —A foolish response might be to honk your horn repeatedly and shout out the window at them, — while a wise response would be to let it go and focus on driving safely.
